Applying the Five Pillars of Schedule Success

If you saw my Million Dollar Schedule Webinar last night, you know the five core principles and pillars of INCREASING your schedule by seven figures in as few days and hours as possible (working much fewer clinical days than you do right now).

*By the way if you missed it, don’t, because it’s literally the difference between remaining frustrated, over worked, and far below your potential versus making your existing limitations simply disappear as you realize greater financial success while doing more consistent and impactful dentistry.

Now, the point is this…

Schedule sabotage is alive and well in every practice – even if you don’t notice it.  It all begins and ends with the schedule either facilitating your success or hindering it.  The way you perceive it, execute within it, and engineer it is leading you to the result you are getting.

Your schedule is your practice formula for success.  The problem is that most practices never break free from being at the mercy of the numbers instead of decisively and deliberately orchestrating the equation they want.  That includes everything from the flow of the day to the number of patients and how they all fit together within your constraints.

You learned last night that what most people see as limitations we see as opportunities for greater leverage and control.

Once again, the first key to achieving your practice potential financially is to set your schedule up for success.  That means getting your mindset right about how you think about time, space, and people.

Which, it is as much about what you don’t do, don’t allow, don’t tolerate, as what you do.  What you let in and what you keep out.  What you focus on and what you ignore.

When it comes to following the formula, there is a precise order.  Get it right and you’re seamlessly breaking through plateaus.  Get it wrong and you’ll create more problems than you solve.  That’s why the five pillars of schedule success and the principles of engineering the schedule are in the order in which I presented them.

This is not just a randomized list of things to do or think about.  The order is on purpose just like I want your schedule to be on purpose, just like I want your diagnosis and treatment planning to be on purpose.

What doesn’t happen on purpose happens on accident and that leads to diminishing returns, wasted opportunities, and above all else inconsistent and unpredictable results.

If we are going to live the reality that time is our single greatest currency and the only non-renewable resource incapable of being replaced or replenished – then the most important thing we can do is plan it, use it, account for it, and maximize its return – ON PURPOSE!

While my training was titled the Million Dollar Schedule and I showed you how to increase the value of your days to achieve a million dollars in income (that’s a net profit stream of cash flowing out of your practice to the tune of $5,000 a day four days a week).  I could have easily themed it “practice on purpose” or “dentistry on demand” or “schedule for success” – because it all leads to the same thing…

Practice ownership on your own terms, a lifestyle scheduling that works for you, and dentistry that fully utilizes your skills and pays you what you are worth.

It is about more than just money because it doesn’t matter how much you make if you had to sacrifice everything to make it or burn yourself out in the process.

Look, don’t take this lightly, it’s all you’ve got, your time and the value you extract out of it.  This will help you get more… on purpose.

Webinar Training Replay: How to Create Your Ideal Million Dollar Schedule

Here are a few questions for this week that will help bring this to reality in your own practice and life…

Where are you or your team getting sloppy with your schedule?

What are you allowing and accepting into your schedule against your better judgement and stated objectives?

What would you change about your typical week in your practice?

No exceptions, no compromise, no lowering of your standards – what should you really be expecting each and every day?

How is treatment getting diminished and when are visits getting shrunk?

How often are you rushed in your diagnosis and patient conversations?

How can you improve your comprehensive diagnosing, your complete treatment planning, and your influence in case acceptance?

I challenge you to write out answers to all of these.  We’ll use them as we craft your Million Dollar Schedule as I open your mind to what’s possible in your lifestyle design and the engineering of your practice to reach your goals and create the future you deserve.
