How To Be More Thankful

I sure hope this finds you more thankful than ever, after spending Thanksgiving with your family and having a chance to reflect on all that you have and all that you are.

Before I tell you about this week’s very special and important message – I have something for you that you might have missed, since it is Black Friday and all.  You can save your money because I have nothing to sell you, I do want to give you something though that will make sure you have unlimited money and opportunity in your life.  It may not help you for the things you are going to go out and buy today, but it will darn sure help you from this point forward!

My gift is: THE Dental Success Secret – to a thriving practice… and it’s the perfect time to be talking about this.  But talk is cheap.  Actions are what brings in the money.  So I have done something very unique and packaged up all the actions around this into my newest book.  My way of saying Happy Thanksgiving!

Now, let’s get serious for a few minutes…

Thankfulness is also a tricky thing because some people use it as an excuse to be complacent and accept the status quo.  You know these people; they justify their low performance or inadequacies by just ‘being thankful for what they have’ (as if that’s good enough).

I have always felt the way to express the greatest amount of gratitude is to do something with yourself, make a difference for others, to have ambition and strive for more.  To be grateful, you must be plentiful with your impact – that’s the point.

It would seem that the way to honor your skills, your experience, your sacrifices even and, perhaps especially, God, is to maximize everything you possibly can for the benefit of others.

In Dentistry, that means don’t be a slouch to only fixing problems in your patients and not ever working towards prevention.

Don’t short change people of having a beautiful smile and feeling great about themselves.

Pursue complete health and show patients the benefits of all you can do.

Don’t just employ your team, empower them.  Make a difference in all the people around you, not just the ones with your hand in their mouths.

This means that you can’t succumb to insurance and let your impact be so careless.  This means your mission can’t blow around like a feather in the wind and your purpose left wandering around with a broken compass.

You owe it to yourself to take this thing seriously.  Not just dentistry; I’m talking about your business.

You are a business owner.  Being thankful for the vehicle you’ve chosen as a profession, as your livelihood, but don’t stop there.  You have the power to make this thing whatever you want.

You have the opportunity to be thankful for more because you can be a creator of more.  You are the Master, the Captain, the Leader, the one who gets to decide.

It’s not enough to just want it – you have to commit to it – and you have to have a plan of action.  Wishing it won’t work.  Hoping for change isn’t a strategy.  Being thankful is important but it’s also about the past – it doesn’t guarantee anything about the future.

On this Black Friday, when every store on earth is vying for as many dollars as they can get from every single person…

I am asking you to give yourself permission to want more.  More success.  More freedom.  More dentistry you love.  More commitment from your team.  More patients who appreciate.  More time for you.  More abundance, more profit, more wealth, more memories with your family… More things to give thanks for, next year.

That’s why, this year for Thanksgiving, I wanted to do something very different.  I wanted to give you a gift.  My best way of saying thanks for your dedication and commitment to constant and never ending improvement – in other words being a Champion Doctor – is to give you two things…

First, permission; which I have already done.

Second, the secret to making everything you want come true.

That is what my new book is all about.  That is what you are going to get.  I can talk about all the business tactics and all the practice principle and all the ways to get patients to say yes and blah blah blah – but none of that really matters if you aren’t getting everything you want out of this deal.

So, before the year is over, before the last month begins, before you settle for less than you deserve, before any of that…

Do this: arm yourself with The Secret To Your Ultimate Practice Success… this is the key to thriving in your practice as a business, as a profitable vehicle for your life – that is also one you are excited about, passionate for, proud of.

This will make certain you have even more to be thankful for again next year.

That is my gift and way of saying thanks and showing my deep appreciation for you – to make sure that you aren’t selling yourself short – that you are getting all you can out of all you are – because you deserve it.
