Welcome to the New Year that rolls around once every 12 months.\u00a0 This is it \u2013 2018!\u00a0 Are you ready?\u00a0 Then again, do you have any choice?<\/p>\n
Today is the first Weekly Report of 2018 and I\u2019m excited.\u00a0 I\u2019m excited for you.\u00a0 For the most prosperous year of your life is looking you straight in the face.\u00a0 The only question is: what will you do with it?<\/p>\n
The good news: there has never been a better time to be a Dentist.\u00a0 The economy is booming, people are spending, health is on the top of everyone\u2019s mind, beauty is coming back, being happy is in style, people are making more than they once were and, best of all you, don\u2019t have to increase your overhead to grow your profits, so all of this is a big win for you.<\/p>\n
There is nothing better than starting a new year fresh with a renewed focus on your goals as you sit ready to make amazing things happen.<\/p>\n
And your goals matter.\u00a0 That is the point.\u00a0 YOUR goals YOUR practice.\u00a0 Ambition is the driver of success, the instigator of breakthroughs, the catalyst for discovering your potential and achieving more than you once thought possible.<\/p>\n
Now, the bad news.\u00a0 There is always some bad news\u2026<\/p>\n
This year won\u2019t be any different from last year if you don\u2019t do something differently.<\/p>\n
I look at doctors who wonder why they didn\u2019t have more success or growth or profit last year and I ask them a simple question: \u201cWhat did you do?\u201d<\/p>\n
Many people can think they did a lot but when it comes down to actually implementing, they are lacking.\u00a0 Success in dentistry really isn\u2019t that difficult.\u00a0 It just requires a plan and then to actually execute the plan and micro-manage results (not people but results).<\/p>\n
That means you can\u2019t go a day or a week and not pay attention to it.\u00a0 You should want to know what were the results of TODAY, of \u2018that\u2019 patient.<\/p>\n
If you aren\u2019t as successful as you want to be, it can only be a few things\u2026 lack of focus, negligence, poor execution, bad attitude or you simply have your priorities out of order.<\/p>\n
I can tell you story after story of two practices in the same town, dealing with the same economy, structured in a similar fashion and one doctor had the best year while working fewer days than ever before and having everything is going his\/her way and the other is just the opposite as he\/she struggles to get by.<\/p>\n
What\u2019s the difference?<\/p>\n
Not the city, not the patients, not economy, not the weather\u2026 of course, only the doctor.\u00a0 Maybe the team but that\u2019s a direct reflection of the doctor also.<\/p>\n
The point is simple: you make the choice for how your year is going to go.\u00a0 You do that now; not later.\u00a0 It\u2019s not wait and see.\u00a0 You can\u2019t decide halfway through.\u00a0 Now.<\/p>\n
And if it were me, I would rather fall short of a higher goal than to hit one that isn\u2019t very inspiring.<\/p>\n
I challenge you to challenge yourself.\u00a0 To want more.\u00a0 To be more.\u00a0 To win more.<\/p>\n
Over the last month of the year, I gave you gifts.\u00a0 Very important gifts.\u00a0 I told you exactly what makes the difference between winners and losers.\u00a0 Between doctors who make things happen and accomplish their goals or doctors who just make excuses and stay frustrated.<\/p>\n

Your Belief in what\u2019s possible, that you deserve it, that it\u2019s going to happen.<\/p>\n

Leave one of these out and it will be come your Achilles\u2019 Heel.\u00a0 Choose to neglect any of these critical success pillars and principles for achievement and you will lose.<\/p>\n
We spend a lot of time assessing everything and everyone else.\u00a0 It\u2019s the New Year, assessment is long past due.\u00a0 It\u2019s time to commit to yourself how you are going to be this year and what you are going to do to win.<\/p>\n
