Part 1"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We all know that most practices loss \u2018em as fast as they get \u2018em.\u00a0 You see it every week, certainly every month&#8230; patients cancel, don\u2019t show up, come in and never come back.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s unfortunate but it\u2019s reality because we have to keep piling on more new patients over and over again.\u00a0 Every month you start back over at zero to fight the good fight of helping patients get healthy and scoring points in the form of treatment dollars.<\/p>\n<p>By now, you should know about the\u00a0intense and thorough training I\u2019m doing about this very problem \u2013 <em>PATIENT RETENTION<\/em> \u2013 this week.<\/p>\n<p>You should not miss this.\u00a0 You can never be too good at keeping more patients in your practice.\u00a0 Grab your seat for this unique online event right here\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dentalpracticegoldmine.com\/\"><strong>Live Webcast Training: <span class=\"aBn\" data-term=\"goog_1069555244\"><span class=\"aQJ\">Wednesday, Feb 7th<\/span><\/span> &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Today, I\u2019m giving you a few smaller details that I won\u2019t have time to cover on this more comprehensive and very strategic training.<\/p>\n<p>Doctors and Team Members ask me all the time what they can do to reactivate patients and \u2018get them back\u2019 to fill up hygiene or convert unscheduled treatment.<\/p>\n<p>I don\u2019t mind the question, but I always answer the same.\u00a0 The first thing you should do to work on reactivation is:<\/p>\n<p>STOP LOSING THEM IN THE FIRST PLACE<\/p>\n<p>Fairly obvious, right?\u00a0 Yet, it\u2019s the truth.\u00a0 Most practices are completely negligent about keeping track of patients in the first place.\u00a0 They don\u2019t know when someone is gone until it\u2019s too late.<\/p>\n<p>Let\u2019s start with the basics this week and we\u2019ll get to the hard part later on.\u00a0 Unfortunately for patients everywhere, most practices won\u2019t go to work on these but YOU WILL and that\u2019s all that matters to me.<\/p>\n<p>So, how do you keep your patients coming back?\u00a0 I\u2019ll tell you exactly that and it\u2019s probably not what you think because these are all easy, simple and free (don\u2019t worry even the hard ones are cheap).<\/p>\n<p>I often talk about my 10-practice test.\u00a0 If you visited 10 offices, what would make you stand out and be obviously different?<\/p>\n<p>If you really want to wow your patients, you have to connect with them.\u00a0 All of them.\u00a0 However, specifically new patients are susceptible to NOT being committed to you until after they have been in many times (key word: many; so we have to make that possible).<\/p>\n<p>There are four ways to do it, every time.<\/p>\n<p>First, you want to Acknowledge Them.\u00a0 Whether you write their name on a board, call them the night before (many doctors do this which makes it special), send personalized confirmation texts\/emails or even sending a hand written note in advanced (instead of after) as a welcome.<\/p>\n<p>If you are following me seriously, then you are already doing many of these things if not all of them.\u00a0 You want them to know you know it\u2019s their first visit.<\/p>\n<p>For every patient, you want to acknowledge them as soon as they walk in and ideally get up, greet them, shake hands and say hello.\u00a0 And whatever you do, don\u2019t stand at the door and yell out their name (which is just one step above the license branch calling your number).<\/p>\n<p>Next, you want to do as many things as possible to Make it Personal!\u00a0 This can be done by writing detailed notes throughout the new patient process to recall later on.\u00a0 This allows you to have a deeper relationship with more patients.<\/p>\n<p>You could go as far as knowing what type of drink they like or if they have a favorite hobby or something you share in common.\u00a0 Just find a way to make them feel special and that they are the only patient (or any thing) on your mind, as they should be.<\/p>\n<p>This one is easy once you get in the habit of it.\u00a0 You really must learn to always Say Their Name.\u00a0 The secret to this is do it early and often so you remember.\u00a0 As you make the hand off to your team member, restate their name to make it personal and casual so they feel like you really do know them.<\/p>\n<p>And then we have the most critical rule.\u00a0 Remember this and I promise you, you will help more patients immediately.<\/p>\n<p>Always Make It About Them \u2013 Not You.\u00a0 You are here for them, they are not here for you.\u00a0 Focus on the patient, both personally and clinically.\u00a0 Be curious and always on a mission to discover ways you can help them get healthy.<\/p>\n<p>These are so very simple but you would be surprised at the difference these experiential actions, behaviors and means engaging your patients will make.\u00a0 They will feel your energy and authenticity, which will lead to a connection with your practice.\u00a0 It they felt important and if they truly mattered, they will come back.<\/p>\n<p>If someone feels part of your practice, they will have to think twice before leaving, not showing up, cancelling, letting you down in any way because you have elevated your value in their lives.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t take this for granted.\u00a0 Be self-aware and pay attention to what you say and how you say it.\u00a0 You must always remain present.\u00a0 Rate yourself on these abilities and ask yourself what you can do to improve at actual genuine patient engagement.<\/p>\n<p>Now, onto the training.\u00a0 I\u2019m about to show you how to turn your patients into GOLD.\u00a0 You can work harder and harder as you cycle through patients while never really having a chance to help them (let alone cultivate any life changing treatment)\u2026 or\u2026 \u00a0you can master the art of patient retention and start hitting your goals faster and easier because your patients will be more valuable to you.<\/p>\n<p>Is there anything else more significant than keeping your patients?\u00a0 I think not.\u00a0 This very well could be the most important presentation I have ever put together.\u00a0 I lay it all out \u2013 live \u2013 this week\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dentalpracticegoldmine.com\/\"><strong>Register for the Live Webcast and Master Patient Retention &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<a href=\"https:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/f2fd8f06571fe09827ace5fcb31ec1d2.png\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-80\" src=\"https:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/f2fd8f06571fe09827ace5fcb31ec1d2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"576\" height=\"210\" srcset=\"https:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/f2fd8f06571fe09827ace5fcb31ec1d2.png 576w, https:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/f2fd8f06571fe09827ace5fcb31ec1d2-300x109.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 576px) 100vw, 576px\" \/><\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We all know that most practices loss \u2018em as fast as they get \u2018em.\u00a0 You see it every week, certainly every month&#8230;
