I always feel fortunate to have such passionate Doctors and Team Members who really care and take what you all do very seriously.\u00a0 They want to get better and keep growing and learning.<\/p>\n

This provides me the great privilege of being your fearless leader along the way to inspire, guide, challenge, push, motivate and invigorate you to be your best self.\u00a0 You never settle because you know there are always more patients you can help get healthy.<\/p>\n

Still, when I send out an interactive contest and \u2018practice-improvement\u2019 challenge, I\u2019m always impressed by the amazing feedback and participation.<\/p>\n

THANK YOU.<\/p>\n

Of course, it\u2019s always the best who participates.\u00a0 Being engaged and successful go hand-in-hand.\u00a0 Those most focused and dedicated to growth in themselves lead to growth in all other areas of their lives.<\/p>\n

What surprises me though is that more don\u2019t\u2026 do something, do anything, pay attention, do the work necessary to win \u2013 and then they complain about their results (or lack thereof), and their plot in life and dentistry.\u00a0 They are dependent on everyone for everything and take no responsibility for themselves.\u00a0 Thank goodness that isn\u2019t you.<\/p>\n

It is funny though (maybe more sad than funny), who does and who doesn\u2019t.\u00a0 Perhaps the team just doesn\u2019t care because they don\u2019t see enough ambition in the doctor; that lacking enthusiasm for dentistry, care in diagnosis and attention with patient discussions.<\/p>\n

It is hard for any team member to sustain a desire to win and do well when the leader doesn\u2019t live this day in and day out, and all the time in between.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s why winning isn\u2019t easy. \u00a0It\u2019s not for the faint at heart.\u00a0 It takes real grit, determination, fight.<\/p>\n

I thank those who participated in the clutter exercise and sent me truly incredible lists, concerns and areas of improvement.\u00a0 Oddly enough, those that didn\u2019t are most certainly the ones who have the most to improve (and are probably oblivious to it).<\/p>\n

I hate to say that I didn\u2019t expect all the responses that I got \u2013 but I didn\u2019t.\u00a0 Which means I have a lot more to sort through and study than I anticipated.\u00a0 So we\u2019ll continue our Team Driven Huddle Series soon\u2026the goal is next week.\u00a0 You will be receiving your prizes and surprises from my Team in the coming weeks as we build up to the big 2nd<\/sup> quarter finale.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m excited by what I\u2019ve read so far and still dozens and dozens to go through.\u00a0 You are certainly in for some very valuable information, all requested by one of you.<\/p>\n

So, today\u2019s Huddle, it should be a wakeup call.<\/p>\n

Why does it take so long to notice things that are less than ideal in your practice?<\/p>\n

Why does it take so long to train someone?<\/p>\n

Why does it take so long to improve and pay attention to the highest areas of focus and priorities that actually matter?<\/p>\n

Too busy being busy maybe.<\/p>\n

Too distracted to know what\u2019s what.<\/p>\n

Too complacent to care.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t know.<\/p>\n

But you do have to ask yourself: why don\u2019t you do healthy things more often that put your behaviors in alignment with the goals and objectives, the outcomes and results, you say you want.\u00a0 Not just in your practice but in your life.<\/p>\n

Asking tough questions about and of yourself is the first big step that champions learn to embrace \u2013 and not being afraid of the answer \u2013 this is the key to winning.<\/p>\n

And if you are doing it right, the pain of change and acting on these type of questions is worth the rewards that come as result of the improvements you make.<\/p>\n

Never forget this saying.\u00a0 I have probably told it to you before.\u00a0 It is the mantra of all the greats…<\/p>\n

THE BIGGEST ROOM IN THE WORLD IS THE ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT<\/p>\n

The time spent in that room, you guessed it, the more improvement that is made.\u00a0 Self-critical in a healthy way leads to self-improvement in the best way.<\/p>\n

Prepare yourself.\u00a0 It\u2019s going to be fun\u2026<\/p>\n
