We\u2019ve all heard the expression \u201cit takes a village\u201d and it really does.\u00a0\u00a0In business and in life.\u00a0\u00a0Especially in Dentistry.\u00a0\u00a0Now you don\u2019t need an army of people to be successful.\u00a0\u00a0In fact, it\u2019s not the quantity of people on your team, it is absolutely the quality and effectiveness of those people that really matters.<\/p>\n
I see teams of 5 or 6 out perform teams of 10 or 12 all the time, simply because they are more effective.\u00a0They perform at a higher level, they expect more, they do more, they are cultivating more meaningful dentistry from appreciating and appropriate patients.<\/p>\n
Plain and simple: your team matters.\u00a0\u00a0You will only be as good as the people around you.<\/p>\n

This is the secret to the most profitable practices, to the most stable practices, to the most lifestyle balanced practices.\u00a0\u00a0They go to work on the people so that they too understand the significance of what is being accomplished and they also benefit along the way.<\/p>\n
There has and always will be a problem in any dental practice of what I call the trickle down effect.\u00a0\u00a0This occurs when the highest level, most valuable information is known only to the doctor and then depending on the doctor\u2019s leadership and dedication to the team (not to mention his\/her ability in communicating), the doctor will trickle down some of the information to the team.<\/p>\n
But never enough.<\/p>\n
