Here we go again. \u00a0It comes around but once a year. \u00a0For some New Year\u2019s Eve is the biggest party of the year \u2013 I always wonder if it\u2019s because of what they are leaving behind or because of what lies ahead.<\/p>\n

Today, on this final tick of the clock for 2018, I challenge you to find reason to celebrate \u201cyour year.\u201d<\/p>\n

Then, tomorrow, begin your focus on 2019 and decide what you\u2019ll achieve. \u00a0Your year should be about\u2026 making, creating, DOING.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what leads to \u2018living\u2019 versus just waking up like groundhog day; where there\u2019s never any difference and nothing ever matters.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s not for you. \u00a0That\u2019s not who you are.<\/p>\n

You are a doer, a goal achiever, an action taker, a make-things-happen person, a creator of possibilities for your patients.<\/p>\n

You can write down your New Year\u2019s Resolutions, but nothing on some list makes any difference.<\/p>\n

It is all about what gets done. \u00a0It is all about what you have to celebrate one year from now.<\/p>\n

So, what do you want to accomplish in 2019?<\/p>\n

You will get 365 days and the only thing you will have to show for it, to remember it by, to build upon is WHAT YOU DO with each of those days and making them all count.<\/p>\n

We\u2019ll get back to Dentistry and Patients next week. \u00a0This week: let\u2019s remember (as I have been reminding you over the past few weeks)\u2026<\/p>\n

Your life is bigger than dentistry as it\u2019s about more than just patients. \u00a0It goes far beyond you showing up here being with your team and doing what you do.<\/p>\n

Your life is about You. \u00a0You get to decide who is in it and how you fill it up.<\/p>\n

This week, let\u2019s engage in some future perspective. \u00a0Share your goals with each other. \u00a0Talk about the life changes, improvements, and enhancements you want to make.<\/p>\n

You will be a lot better for the people you are sitting around right now and for the patients you serve if you do more for yourself outside the four walls of your practice.<\/p>\n

Tonight, you end one year and begin another. \u00a0The most important decision you have to make is, when this celebration happens one year from now, will you be proud of all you\u2019ve put in and all you\u2019ve got out of 2019.<\/p>\n

You could have a lot more to celebrate based on what happens next. \u00a0You are in control because what you do matters. \u00a0Next year could be a year to remember \u2013 or you can end up just like everybody else; just happy another year is over and a \u2018new\u2019 year to try yet again.<\/p>\n

You\u2019ll only get out of it what you decide to do. \u00a0It\u2019s the DOING that ultimately will make 2019 matter \u2013 and give yourself more to celebrate than ever before!<\/p>\n
