In honor of yesterday, I would like to give a shout out to all the moms out there. \u00a0Not to take anything away from the men in your practices but we certainly know women outnumber the men.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d just say to you, my thoughts on \u201cMother\u2019s Day\u201d, is that there isn\u2019t a day that\u2019s not Mother\u2019s Day. \u00a0Whether it\u2019s your kids, your pets, your parents or all of the above. \u00a0You may not catch a break but once a year to get the little extra spoils you deserve. \u00a0You gotta know the world doesn\u2019t turn without you and a whole lot of people in your life depend on you for far more than just the things you do, they cherish and need the love you give.<\/p>\n

In the hustle and bustle of everyday life, there is usually such little time to reflect, take a breath, savor moments, but here\u2019s the one thing I hope you always do (not just yesterday but every single day), and that\u2019s appreciate yourself!<\/p>\n

No matter if your family is one or many and no matter how they do or don\u2019t express their appreciation in words, actions, or emotions \u2013 you owe it to yourself to feel great about who you are.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s long been said that the most important way to be \u2018best\u2019 for others is to first be \u2018best\u2019 for yourself. \u00a0Take care of you.<\/p>\n

You invest every day caring for others; just don\u2019t neglect yourself in the process. \u00a0Nothing and no one is worth that because it only makes you less for the ones you love. \u00a0\u2028\u2028Of course, I don\u2019t mean your life will go without sacrifice. \u00a0That\u2019s part of the master plan of this whole deal called life. \u00a0You do have to pick and choose where you place your time and effort. \u00a0The trick is to not compromise so much that you resent it. \u00a0Remember what it takes to be the person you are and to love the people you care for.<\/p>\n

Is there a more valuable lesson to be taught to your kids than \u201cwhy mommy works\u2026\u201d \u00a0maybe some morals and traditions, but it\u2019s right up there.<\/p>\n

Allow me to tell you something else very important that I may not say and acknowledge often enough…<\/p>\n

Your Doctor (who provided this very Huddle to you) is giving you access to things that go far beyond dentistry and that focus on more than just patients. \u00a0They help you be better for yourself and others. \u00a0You are given powerful resources and experiences that you can use to benefit all areas of your life \u2013 that\u2019s special.<\/p>\n

And it\u2019s rare. \u00a0You know as well as I that not all Doctors are created equal in their appreciation, respect and dedication to their teams. \u00a0Your doctor is pouring into you because they believe in you, they value you. \u00a0They acknowledge that dentistry, for them and for you, is a vehicle to take you through your life and that the quality of your life outside the practice is made better by the quality of life inside the practice.<\/p>\n

My point is\u2026 you are special and you are in a place that\u2019s special where together we all can do something special. \u00a0And while I began talking about Moms and their significance in the lives of others \u2013 whether you are a Mother or not \u2013 you are an extraordinary person and that\u2019s worth celebrating.<\/p>\n\"\"<\/a>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
