{"id":1389,"date":"2019-05-17T16:54:15","date_gmt":"2019-05-17T16:54:15","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/?p=1389"},"modified":"2019-05-17T16:54:15","modified_gmt":"2019-05-17T16:54:15","slug":"how-to-keep-your-practice-from-plateauing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/how-to-keep-your-practice-from-plateauing\/","title":{"rendered":"How To Keep Your Practice From Plateauing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>There really is an underlying reason why most Doctors never reach their real potential inside of their practice \u2013 that is those who actually do wish to do better.<\/p>\n<p>We know why the ones that just settle and could care less whether they do any better or maybe they don\u2019t even believe it is possible to improve.\u00a0 They think they are already as far as they can get.\u00a0 It\u2019s obvious why they get stuck and then ever so slowly go backwards or maybe dramatically go backwards.<\/p>\n<p>Often a \u201closing practice\u201d is not first seen in the numbers.\u00a0 No, actually you can coast for a long time without noticing the fact that the practice is being sustained on a very unhealthy foundation where there are cracks and crumbles at the base.<\/p>\n<p>Here\u2019s what I mean.\u00a0 You might not realize or recognize the poor and detrimental retention of your patients but you are getting by every month and year.\u00a0 It doesn\u2019t occur to you to check and see what your net gain in patient count is or if your patient value is going up or down on an average every year.<\/p>\n<p>I have some very important news for you\u2026<\/p>\n<p>If you keep doing the same work on the same patients eventually you will run out of teeth to fix.\u00a0 On the other hand, if you are doing all the same work on different patients then you won\u2019t ever get ahead either.<\/p>\n<p>You really must have a practice growing in parallel on both of these fronts if you want to get to the maximization of profitability and leverage your time so you can break free from the pure volume trap.<\/p>\n<p>Value must go up on average for every new patient and you must have increases in retention.\u00a0 If you are a specialist and see every patient as a \u201cnew patient\u201d then you swap the word \u201cretention\u201d for \u201creferral\u201d and it\u2019s all the same.<\/p>\n<p>Continuation of care.<\/p>\n<p>Keeping patients in motion.<\/p>\n<p>Acceleration of case acceptance.<\/p>\n<p>Achieving completion of treatment.<\/p>\n<p>I can go on with my buzzwords.\u00a0 Most practices achieve success (if they do) completely and totally by accident.\u00a0 And therefore there is no deliberate control over the outcomes and that results in zero ability to leverage \u2013 ANYTHING.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/yourdreamdentalpractice.com\/\">The 4-Part Video Training<\/a>\u00a0I\u2019m giving away to all of my Weekly Report readers is based exactly on this.\u00a0 Leverage.\u00a0 How to get more out of your practice so that you DO NOT HAVE TO PUT MORE INTO your practice.<\/p>\n<p>They are brief and poignant, simple yet profound and most of all hard hitting in the way that I take you behind the scenes of the most profitable private practices in the country.\u00a0 I\u2019ll show you how we breakdown and reverse engineer their success and put them back in control over their lifestyle, their dentistry and their profit.<\/p>\n<p>You will benefit more from these videos than anything you have watched, read or experienced \u2013 maybe ever \u2013 certainly than in a very long time.<\/p>\n<p>Go ahead see for yourself:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/yourdreamdentalpractice.com\/\"><strong>Start Watching Now &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Look, the point I\u2019m trying to make is unless you have a handle on your practice and know what is going on underneath it all, behind the scenes, you aren\u2019t practicing on purpose.<\/p>\n<p>Now, you don\u2019t have to DO anything extra.\u00a0 I\u2019m not talking about \u201cplaying manager\u201d or even \u201crunning the business.\u201d\u00a0 In fact, the more you know what I\u2019m talking about here, the less time you have to be involved in anything but the dentistry.<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m saying that even a practice growing slightly (unless you are exactly where you want to be in terms of your numbers and income), then it\u2019s quite possible you actually are going backwards if you look at the future indicators that actually mean something.<\/p>\n<p>The Doctors doing nothing, striving for nothing, have zero ambition obviously aren\u2019t going to experience any growth or take any responsibility for increase in profit.\u00a0 I don\u2019t judge and I\u2019m not talking to \u2018that\u2019 doctor;
