Well, maybe I shouldn\u2019t say easy \u2013 of course it\u2019s easy to complain, whine, feel sorry for yourself, be miserable, and then want everyone else to feel as bad as you do, but it is certainly no fun for you or anyone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sure, we all have \u2018those days\u2019 and there is cause in life to be \u201csad\u201d but is there cause to ever really be \u201cmad?\u201d I don\u2019t think so. Being upset only clouds your judgment and worsens your circumstance. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Yes, of course, you should feel how you feel but your feelings are your own and don\u2019t deserve to be forced upon anyone else. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It\u2019s so common in any place where people gather (especially work together every day), that there can be disagreements or more often than not assumptions made about others that are falsely decided. Then feelings get hurt and it all ends up being for nothing because usually the intentions weren\u2019t anything but positive.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, there are those people (every one of us at some point in time), who tend to selfishly bring their baggage into places it doesn\u2019t belong or to make things all about them once in a while \u2013 hopefully not all the time. They tend to rub people the wrong way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You can help end that behavior by keeping things in perspective. Think beyond yourself and your greater purpose. Understand that it takes a team and you are just a part of it. Besides, the point of \u2018work\u2019 isn\u2019t about how you feel about it, it\u2019s about how well you perform and execute as a team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sure, we want you to be happy every single day and love what you do, however that\u2019s not something anyone can do for you. No one can \u2018make\u2019 YOU happy. Only you can let yourself, help yourself, keep yourself, and choose for yourself to be happy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, what I\u2019d love is for everyone to commit to sharing their own happy feelings. You can talk about what you love about what you do, what makes you the happiest in life, or even just think happy thoughts to share with others. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
If you really want to do something special, think of your best quotes, your most uplifting sayings, and anything that inspires you. Then build a team wall or flashcards that can be present in your practice during your morning huddles, lunch times, and at end of the day. Revisit these frequently and don\u2019t hesitate to politely remind (in a tough but loving and respectful way) others to be their best selves and keep the happiness vibe in the practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
