In keeping with that theme and jumping off from last week\u2019s idea about choosing to be happy, I\u2019d like to take a few minutes of your time today to focus your gratitude, give thanks, and reflect on what it is you do\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Dentistry as your way of taking care of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You are so great at it and you could have chosen anything. Picking this, it\u2019s just right for you and that\u2019s a special thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We all know it\u2019s a very common feeling to think that the grass is greener somewhere else or wishing things were different or easier or less stressful or whatever. But, you know what, at the end of the day, you are doing pretty darn good and you should be proud of that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, my question the week before Thanksgiving is: what are you thankful for in regards to what you do, the people you are around, the impact you make, and the passion you have?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I don\u2019t want to elaborate too much because I\u2019ll be taking away your answers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Of course, the meaning and significance of your life is your family. We can certainly make a long list (and we just might next week) about all that there is to be thankful for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Let\u2019s start this week with your Daytime Family, your work in Dentistry, and your care for your Patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Take turns sharing what you love the most, what makes you happy, and all the ways you are thankful. When you talk about the people you are thankful for, don\u2019t forget yourself because without you there wouldn\u2019t be anybody to give the thanks and make possible so many reasons for other people to be thankful for too.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
It is always nice to celebrate and to take the gratitude inventory in order to remind yourself how great you\u2019ve got it. Of course, it\u2019s not by accident or without work and sacrifice \u2013 but it\u2019s always worth it because it leads to so much more to be thankful for!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I won\u2019t make you break out the colored pencils and trace your hand to draw a turkey. Instead, make it your own and have fun with it. Be as creative as you\u2019d like; build a team list of everyone\u2019s answers or share with your patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
