Every year I get to write about St. Patrick\u2019s Day and while it maybe an Irish celebration, anyone can take part in the lucky traditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The reality of life is, as you well know, that whatever luck we have is just perception in the first place. I won\u2019t say it\u2019s exclusively self created but that is certainly the only type of \u2018luck\u2019 that you control.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We do talk about this every single week right here in the Monday Huddle. It\u2019s not usually in terms of \u201cluck\u201d and yet it has the same impact; all depending on what you think about along with what you expect.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
All of these are ways to stimulate luck from the inside out. It\u2019s the whole \u2018get more of what you focus on\u2019 and \u2018what you think about you become\u2019 scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here we don\u2019t say \u201cthe harder I work the luckier I get\u201d because we like to say the \u201csmarter\u201d you work, the luckier you get.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here\u2019s what I do know\u2026 every day in your life you decide whether it\u2019s going to be a good day or a bad day in advance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is quite literally the difference between people who wait for the day to happen to decide if it was good or bad instead of the ones that decide how they will define the day regardless of what happens. If you want some bad luck, just throw the day up into the air and leave it to the mercy of the everything and everyone around you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Instead, if you do everything possible to set your day up for success before it happens, you\u2019ll experience good fortune more often than not. If by chance something goes awry (whether a flat tire or illness or traffic or weather or anything else), don\u2019t\u2019 let it ruin your day and derail your intentions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This is the recipe for a happy, lucky person. No one has the perfect life, problem free without stress or worry. The difference between them and others is simply their attitude. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Some people might look at them and say \u201chow lucky\u201d because they are always happy or things seemingly go their way, but they miss the point.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Those same cynics will talk about how unlucky they are because nothing ever works out or they look for every possible external factor to blame or they search for their own lucky charm never realizing they\u2019ve had it the whole time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We\u2019ve all been there at one point or another. I\u2019m sure there are days or weeks where we find everything to be a real series of unfortunate events. Perhaps we could all use some more \u201cluck\u201d in our lives (especially after last year). <\/p>\n\n\n\n
So, here are a few ways to bring more luck into your life\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
1. Be around more people who are like the way you want to be. You\u2019ll find their \u201cluck\u201d rubs off of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Whether you want to call it luck or optimism or positivity or happiness or momentum \u2013 it\u2019s all contagious in the best way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
2. Be aware of opportunities around you. Some people see problems while others see possibilities \u2013 be someone who searches for good news and good fortune.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Imagine you\u2019re in a field of clover, you\u2019ll only find the lucky four-leaf sprigs if you\u2019re on the hunt for them. That happens to be true for everything else \u2013 most people find exactly what they are looking for. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
All too often people are caught up in an unlucky mindset just \u2018dealing\u2019 with life that they miss just how frequently the universe presents all kinds of \u2018luck\u2019 around them to take advantage of.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
3. Be more resourceful, take action, move forward, make progress, and believe the luck will follow. You\u2019d be amazed at how things will open up for you if you only try.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When you feel stuck: move. When you are feeling unlucky: act. When you are unsure of yourself: trust.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That ought to get you started and be enough to generate your own luck of the Irish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Have fun with this and collect all the lucky charms you want; just remember that you are ultimately the source for all the luck you\u2019ll ever need.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
