It is that time again to Spring Forward in time, in season, and I\u2019m challenging you to do the same in life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
At the beginning of March, I asked you to reflect on your 2021 start and to assess where you are at compared to where you thought you\u2019d be. Then use this month to March on, do whatever is necessary to make the most of this month, and work towards achieving a record quarter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Now, as we move into the next season because, as the saying goes, Spring has officially sprung, it\u2019s time to decide what you are going to do next.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Here are the questions that we ask ourselves every year with the theme of Spring Cleaning\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n
What do you need to tidy up in your practice to be more effective?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Where is there clutter in space, process, or focus?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
How is the past getting in the way of the future?<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And here\u2019s the real lesson from Spring, nature needs Winter\u2019s dormant season to make room for growth. It\u2019s the cycle of life. The same is true for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Your practice must replace old habits with new, ineffective protocols with optimal ones, under-valued tasks with more profitable actions. To make improvements, you have to make replacements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I have long used this mantra to help people have clear thoughts on their next actions. It\u2019s called: making room for growth \u2013 and, to me, that\u2019s nature\u2019s way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I often see practices struggle, not because they don\u2019t know what to change but because they are unwilling to let go of old routines. If everything you do now is perfect, then there would be no opportunities to improve your ability to help patients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This week, take time to create an inventory of what needs to be thrown out, how you are going to replace it with a more effective approach, and then march onward on your path to success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While you can\u2019t control the calendar, you can absolutely control the seasons of your own growth. You can time out your own changes to stay ahead of your goals, rather than be caught behind. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Just as there are \u2018seasons of life\u2019 there are seasons to your practice success. What will serve you this year during this cycle, may not be need a few years from now. If you understand and proactively create the growth periods, you will be in better equipped to bust through the plateaus of a dormant period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
