Because when most think about their future they are visualizing in their minds and forecasting their outcomes in very negative terms. They see all of the things that can go wrong and all of the reasons why something won\u2019t work, instead of visualizing all the reasons to make it happen and all of the ways to make it possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n As I said, this is human nature. It\u2019s how we are all wired. But it isn\u2019t \u2013 and shouldn\u2019t be \u2013 the CHAMPION\u2019s mindset.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Being realistic, or as Napoleon Hill described as having accurate thinking, is critical\u2026 but you can\u2019t stop there. The problems you envision in your mind you will undoubtedly encounter on your path because we make our own realities every single day \u2013 with our decisions, actions, and thoughts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Sadly, most doctors are either fearful or skeptical, and are therefore stuck in an endless cycle of expecting the worst, wishing for something different, but never doing something different to escape that doom-loop hamster wheel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Being afraid is far more justifiable than being skeptical. I say that because the skeptic only gets in the way of his or her own successes. And while you are busy being skeptical, you are completely destroying your ability to see opportunity, to discover possibility, and to be responsible for YOUR success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It\u2019s particularly important when leading your team, working with patients, and engineering your practice with its ultimate success firmly planted first and foremost in mind, that you leave skepticism behind and instead go all in today and from this point forward to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n BELIEVE!<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is far more than having some kind of phony \u201ccan do\u201d attitude. True BELIEF is nothing to Ho-Ho-Ho about, especially today as we enjoy a particularly appropriate season to embrace this mindset and attitude.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At a young age you wish and hope for gifts from \u201cothers\u201d and the idea of BELIEVING in Santa Claus was often used to anchor \u201cgood behavior.\u201d Then as you matured and became more successful (ie \u2013 independent \/ responsible) you realized that YOU were in fact your own Santa Claus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Some may say this means setting aside foolish beliefs for cold hard reality. I beg to differ. Instead, it\u2019s a level-headed realization that the goodness, generosity, and care you once attributed to someone else is now part and parcel to how YOU live YOUR life!<\/p>\n\n\n\n As Santa, even though you can buy whatever you want, your wants often change as certain things aren\u2019t as important anymore because you are the one working, paying, sacrificing for them among other things.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Life comes full circle and at some pinnacle of success the only thing you think about is not what you can get from others or what you can buy for yourself but instead what you can give.<\/p>\n\n\n\n People begin to take precedence and priority. Such a beautiful thing \u2013 giving \u2013 generously, freely, joyfully, willingly with ease, gratitude, appreciation, and never with regret or resentment. It\u2019s such an important point. It\u2019s so uplifting and inspiring when the more you give, the more gratitude you have; and the more gratitude you have, the more you give.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You\u2019re not merely playing around at this. Instead, you do it because you understand, accept, and BELIEVE that you are indeed Santa Claus for the people that matter in your life every single day. That\u2019s powerful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And when you could keep more for yourself, you don\u2019t, you give back. Because you know you have the power to make more, do more, and be more.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Unconvinced? Skeptical? Well, if you were to write down a list of every single thing you did, experienced, accomplished, achieved, and obtained in 2023, you would be amazed at all you had succeeded at, overcame, and conquered this year. (Just go through the exercise. Your jaw will drop, I guarantee it.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n So if you like that list \u2013 then you must take pride in (not being resentful) of EVERYTHING it took to make it happen. The time, the money, the effort, the sacrifice, the knowledge, the experience, the everything that could not have been possible without YOUR passion, expertise, and involvement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Whatever you did, you can\u2019t resent it \u2013 any of it \u2013 because if you removed one thing (even one in the slightest: one meeting, one training, one book, one idea, one person, one day, week, month, vacation), then the formula would not add up and result in changes in the outcomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n You can\u2019t have all you\u2019ve got, you can\u2019t have the same completed list, you can\u2019t even be prepared for what you want next year without everything that you have done leading up to and through this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n THAT is the power of belief and the magic of the success that happens as a result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n With Santa Claus, so the story goes, it takes all year to prepare all the toys and gifts for the girls and boys for that one extraordinary night. Of course, the magic in your life is in the fact that you have your own \u201cworkshop\u201d that encompasses your practice and everything else. You wake up in this every single day and go to work for your list in the making for the year you are living out.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And you don\u2019t have to wait 365 days to get your next present. You get to create it as you wish; and then through the fruits of your labor, you get to not only celebrate yourself, you can now give it to others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I\u2019m not just talking about charities. I\u2019m talking about the jobs you give, the health you give, the confidence you give, the guidance you give, and the differences you give in people\u2019s lives. The positive energy, the thoughtfulness, the feelings of abundance, and the reality that you have become a creator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Yes, Dr. Claus, you are your own creator of possibilities and the giver of gifts in your life and in the lives of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is special, you are special, and you deserve it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The keys to sustaining this success are front and center on display in everything I do, practice, stand for and teach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n I will tell you, it\u2019s easy to win once in a while. It\u2019s not hard to have success from time to time. But it is an entirely different thing, life, responsibility to become your own Santa Claus and never take a day off from being you, as you build the life you have for yourself and what that life has made possible for so many others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n So as we exit 2023 and look ahead to 2024, stay generous, kind, grateful, and above all else never stop BELIEVING in yourself!<\/p>\n\n\n\n The good news is that you deserve exactly what you make happen and your success will be in direct proportion to the BELIEF in your ability, the clarity of your vision, the leverage of your time, and certainty of your plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Be courageous.
