Get the team involved in this so that you have a goal bigger than you for your overall practice.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Next, have a strategy for motivation\u2026 you gotta be ready to show up every day in order to motivate the troops and inspire them to perform to win. Command their success, a big and dramatic difference from demanding them to do their jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the most overlooked responsibility I see doctors miss and it has nothing to do with your leadership skills or your personality. It simply has to do with a lack of understanding or grasping the full importance of this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Most likely, you are self-motivated because you are a professional who has arrived where you are because you had a goal, set out to achieve it, didn\u2019t relent, and you made it \u2013 so, now what?<\/p>\n\n\n\n You expect everyone else to be, do, and act the same. Sorry, not realistic and isn\u2019t going to happen.
