Some of them have seen their incomes take a hit, their credit cards are maxed out, and suddenly everything is an excuse to avoid investing in their health.<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Now, let me tell you the most important thing you need to know: <strong>your purpose and your standards don\u2019t change<\/strong> just because the economy does. We don\u2019t lower the bar because people are feeling nervous about their wallets. No, that\u2019s the worst thing you could do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rule #1: Don\u2019t Drink the Kool-Aid<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Right now, it\u2019s easy to get sucked into the patient\u2019s mindset. They\u2019re fixated on dollars and cents, and if you\u2019re not careful, you\u2019ll start to do the same. You need to build that sense of urgency into every conversation, every treatment plan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rule #2: Money is Flexible\u2014Health is Not<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Here\u2019s what most doctors forget: the most <strong>flexible<\/strong> thing in this entire situation is money. Not time. Not health. Not the quality of care. It\u2019s money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Let me say that again: <strong>money is flexible.<\/strong> You can move it, stretch it, adjust it. But health? That\u2019s how you win the long game.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This isn\u2019t about going easy or cutting corners. You\u2019re always aiming for the best possible care. But sometimes that means breaking down the journey into more manageable steps. <strong>The key is forward momentum.<\/strong> Even if they can\u2019t get everything done today, you\u2019re keeping them engaged in the process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Rule #3: Never, Ever Diagnose the Pocketbook<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This is a <strong>non-negotiable<\/strong>.
