Play the game <strong>on your own terms<\/strong>, in your own arena. Don\u2019t get sucked into the volume trap or commoditized care.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Stay focused on your identity, your mission<\/strong>, and your philosophy of care.<\/p>\n<h3><strong>Insurance Isn\u2019t Your Savior \u2013 It\u2019s Your Shackle<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p>Let\u2019s get real about <strong>insurance<\/strong>. Insurance doesn\u2019t bring you patients. What it brings is a <strong>pre-conditional commoditized mentality<\/strong> to your practice by putting you in a pool of other providers. When you rely on insurance, you\u2019re letting your value be dictated by <strong>third parties<\/strong> who don\u2019t care about you or your patients.<\/p>\n<p>Now, don\u2019t get me wrong \u2013 <strong>insurance can be leveraged<\/strong>. It can be used as a tool, even a form of patient generation. But don\u2019t fool yourself into thinking that discount dentistry will help you achieve your goals.<\/p>\n<p>If your practice is <strong>dependent on insurance<\/strong>, you don\u2019t have a truly independent business. You\u2019re at the mercy of insurance companies.
