Oh it\u2019s probably old news by now but I just love St. Patrick\u2019s Day\u2026I love it! I do something very nice with my wife and that\u2019s about it, no green beer, no parties, no social engagements, nothing really but\u2026 I did love yesterday because I love LUCK!!!<\/p>\n

Yes, luck. Who doesn\u2019t?!<\/p>\n

Of course, to get lucky you have to actually believe in it. Kinda like opportunity, isn\u2019t it? For many Dentists, luck could smack them in the face or trip their legs out from under them and they wouldn\u2019t know the difference.<\/p>\n

Or more poignantly said, Luck could call on the phone, walk through the door, be standing there with credit card in hand saying \u201cplease fix me\u201d and still they wouldn\u2019t acknowledge or recognize that this is Luck\u2026staring back at them.<\/p>\n

You do get about what you expect.
\nYou will attract more of what you accept.
\nYou multiply what you think about.<\/p>\n

My advice, stop believing every day is going to be a struggle, stop believing every patient is going to bring up insurance or complain about price or talk down your treatment\u2026stop believing this whole dental practice owner, running, managing, operation, and oh yeah, actually doing the dentistry is going to be so hard.<\/p>\n

Instead, believe in magic and believe in getting lucky; not because there is such a thing as accidental success \u2013 instead because there is such a thing as forced progress, controlled results, deliberate success, and created luck.<\/p>\n

Don\u2019t believe me, just try these seven luck factors inside of your own Practice.<\/p>\n

Rabbits Foot \u2013 a wonderful happy person with amazing personality that answers your phone and builds emotional rapport with your patients BEFORE they walk in\u2026and oh by the way, they actually answer the phone.<\/p>\n

You want to get lucky, try answering every call not just the ones that are convenient.
\nFour Leafed Clover \u2013 try having a specific process that\u2019s proven that every single patient goes through that sets themselves up for success, makes them pre-educated and pre-conditioned to believe the way you want them to and understand the goals and objectives of your visit.<\/p>\n

What will make them a great patient for you and for themselves\u2026ask and answer that question and then arm the patient with their own four leafed clover.
\nMagic Rainbow \u2013 somewhere over the rainbow there are patients who just were ready to buy \u2018today\u2019 but then the rainbow goes away and no one shows them how to find it ever again.<\/p>\n

You want to get lucky everyday: do more follow-up, take more control, guide the patient and don\u2019t give up so darn easily.
\nHorseshoe \u2013 throw that horseshoe and make a ringer every single time when you price yourself for profit and you establish fees that are going to let you win\u2026the real game of horseshoes isn\u2019t about luck, it\u2019s about skill, it\u2019s about practice, it\u2019s about setting yourself up for success because you know what you are doing.<\/p>\n

When you give in to others you give up on your chances to get lucky and it results in harder work, less money, and no time to make enough to do anything but get bye.
\nPot o\u2019 Gold \u2013 hey, let\u2019s just be blunt about this one\u2026every single day you tell your patients to put their money where their mouths are\u2026guess what, your pot o\u2019 gold is where their mouths are too.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s very simple, see every patient with fresh eyes, show them the big picture, create full diagnosis and design comprehensive treatment plans.<\/p>\n

Nobody gets lucky playing for small victories. Sell the cases you want to do. They are there, you just don\u2019t see them because you choose not to. It\u2019s not an illusion, it\u2019s gold my friends, reach in there and grab it, pick it up and make the magic happen.<\/p>\n
