{"id":814,"date":"2017-03-31T14:21:11","date_gmt":"2017-03-31T14:21:11","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/?p=814"},"modified":"2017-05-10T19:40:57","modified_gmt":"2017-05-10T19:40:57","slug":"no-pity-for-the-foolish-dentist-avoid-this-trap","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dentalsuccesstoday.com\/blog\/no-pity-for-the-foolish-dentist-avoid-this-trap\/","title":{"rendered":"No Pity For The Foolish Dentist Avoid THIS Trap&#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We call this Trap the fallacy of extremes.\u00a0 A really bad idea.\u00a0 You see the industry (yes our great and wonderful industry, which it is, but it is also very deceiving), sells you greener grasses or worse yet sells you the sky is falling mentality.<\/p>\n<p>Both of these are extremes.\u00a0 Change what you are doing for greener grass, or change what you are doing because the world is coming to an end.<\/p>\n<p>Everyone, every journal, every new shiny object or trendy idea is driving Dentists away from their core values and turning them into \u201cone in the same\u201d where every Dentist is equal.<\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s a bag of garbage (and really a much more vivid and fitting word than \u2018garbage\u2019).<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s wonderful to grow, change and adapt with strategic purpose and with intentionality.\u00a0 Of course you do this as you keep learning, training and finding new things to add to your practice (whether it\u2019s new procedures to your mix or new ideas to your business).<\/p>\n<p>But.<\/p>\n<p>You do not ever do this at the expense of your philosophy, your principles, your own personal lifestyle and practice structure.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, you have to choose who you are, how you want to practice and what you want to be known for \u2013 you have to decide on your differentiation.<\/p>\n<p>The foolish dentists looks to follow the crowd, to become like everyone else and otherwise destroy the very reasons why a patient would want to come to you, be loyal to you, invest in you \u2013 because of you, your brand, your mission, your purpose, your relationship \u2013 because all of these things are about more than just dentistry.<\/p>\n<p>If you drink the industry kool-aid then you are drinking insurance, discount, commoditization, marketing deals, coupons and becoming a convenience store; instead of an exclusive practice that patients respect and feel privileged to be cared for by you.<\/p>\n<p>Who would have thought \u2013 corporate would try to take over dentistry.<\/p>\n<p>Who would have thought \u2013 insurance would ruin patients, not help them.<\/p>\n<p>Who would have thought \u2013 you could buy ortho through the mail.<\/p>\n<p>Next Wal-Mart will be selling \u201cdo it yourself dental kits\u201d or people will be buying one size fits all dentures.<\/p>\n<p>C\u2019mon, this is crazy.<\/p>\n<p>The question is: what are you going to do about it?\u00a0 Listen to the noise, get lost in the crowd, follow these people off into the abyss and over the cliff where there is no turning back, no autonomy, no control over your profit, no ability to really be your own boss because you are answering to and at the mercy of everyone else?<\/p>\n<p>Worse than all of that is: these things take the focus off of what matters most, what we are all here to do \u2026 help people and care for patients by making healthy, functioning, beautiful smiles.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026 it\u2019s not all of these other sideshow that distract from the main point and ultimate purpose.<\/p>\n<p>I have an idea.\u00a0\u00a0 Actually, I have specific steps.\u00a0 I have a proven system.<\/p>\n<p>I have the path and formula to finally and completely differentiating yourself from everyone else \u2013 so that you will rise above the competition, the corporations, the insurance, the discounts and everything and everyone else that gets in your way, that muddies the minds of your patients, that takes away from your integrity and your mission.<\/p>\n<p>Today is the day I have promised, I have teased, and now I\u2019m here to rescue you from being another victim to our industry\u2019s supposed good deeds, nice gestures and peer pressure into unhealthy business practices and dental principles.<\/p>\n<p>Stand with me in embracing your uniqueness, in being who you are, in structuring your business and your dental practice to be extraordinary.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s a choice.\u00a0 A Decision.\u00a0 All Yours.<\/p>\n<p>And you can make that choice today.\u00a0 This is my gift to you.\u00a0 It may very well be the most valuable one you have ever received (if you accept the responsibility that comes with it).<\/p>\n<p>Go ahead, see for yourself, you be the judge\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/differentiationindentistry.com\/free\/\"><strong>Get The 7 Essential Elements of Dental Practice Differentiation &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Remember the saying: you can only claim ignorance so long as you were not informed or unknowing, but once armed with the information, the power is yours, the path is set and now you make your own fate.<\/p>\n<p>Don\u2019t be misled or negligence with your own success.\u00a0 Own it.<\/p>\n<p>Through Differentiation!<\/p>\n<p>And you won\u2019t wake up a fool tomorrow or any other day for the rest of your career.\u00a0 Instead, you\u2019ll be laughing at all the others who chose the path everyone else is taking because you, as the great poet Frost said, chose the one less traveled.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s more scenic, more fun, more fulfilling, more rewarding, more profitable and best all of\u2026 no one will try to make you something you are not or force you into to settling for less than you deserve and have earned the right to have, achieve and enjoy.<\/p>\n<p>Your path is right here.\u00a0 One of differentiation, great dentistry, appreciative patients, worthy fees, a loyal team, and all the other things that go with confidently pursuing your own dreams, goals and practice style.<\/p>\n<p>Differentiate now or be nothing more than just another dentist\u2026<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/differentiationindentistry.com\/free\/\"><strong>Start on the Path to Dental Practice Differentiation &gt;&gt;&gt;<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We call this Trap the fallacy of extremes.\u00a0 A really bad idea.\u00a0 You see the industry (yes our great and wonderful industry, which it is, but it is also very deceiving), sells you greener grasses or worse yet sells you the sky is falling mentality.
