Most Dentists wait until it\u2019s too late to figure out what they want out of their practice.\u00a0 When they want to retire; how much money they want to put away; and the way in which they prefer to work, practice and do dentistry.<\/p>\n

Most don\u2019t have any rhyme or a reason, other than showing up every day at the mercy of who happens to be in the schedule and then ending up at the end of the day with whatever money appeared in the account.<\/p>\n

Now, I don\u2019t think you are probably like this, at least not this bad.\u00a0 After all, you are smart, forward thinking, future focused and have standards.\u00a0 You don\u2019t simply settle.<\/p>\n

Still, that doesn\u2019t mean that time doesn\u2019t catch up with you.\u00a0 That doesn\u2019t mean that you aren\u2019t accepting less than you deserve or you live your life every day in your practice either unfulfilled with your passions or underutilized with your skills.<\/p>\n

Very few Dentists would say they have total control over their outcomes, are creating deliberate growth and actually have a plan.\u00a0 I don\u2019t mean a plan for the week, the month, the quarter, even the year.\u00a0 I\u2019m talking about a career plan, a business plan.\u00a0 An actual strategy for ownership, for wealth, for growth, for your team, for your lifestyle, for your dentistry, for your budget, for your profit, for your expenses and for your schedule.<\/p>\n

These are all pillars that your practice, as a business, is built upon.<\/p>\n

If they aren\u2019t planned out and orchestrated\u2026<\/p>\n

If they aren\u2019t deliberately designed\u2026<\/p>\n

If there is no reason why things happen\u2026<\/p>\n

If there is no cause and effect to get the results you desire so that your goals are met and your time is worth it\u2026<\/p>\n

Then you are going to end up, at some point, frustrated as you find yourself behind in time or money (or both); stranded by your team or worse yet your patients.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t say this to scare you.\u00a0 This is reality.\u00a0 In the multi-millionaire club we call this \u201chealthy paranoia\u201d.<\/p>\n

Done right, it is a proactive strategy for taking full responsibility for getting exactly what you want in life, out of your practice, in dentistry, with your team and from your patients.<\/p>\n

You can choose to be just like your patients\u2026 in a state of denial waiting until there is no turning back and the problem is so bad it has to be addressed.<\/p>\n

Or you can be a smart, responsible business person and you can get ahead of problems, prevent failure and as result achieve the optimal state of ideal on purpose.<\/p>\n

Yes, that just sounds magical\u2026<\/p>\n

Business on purpose.<\/p>\n

Dentistry on purpose.<\/p>\n

Practicing on purpose.<\/p>\n

Having fun on purpose.<\/p>\n

Scheduling on purpose.<\/p>\n

Diagnosing on purpose.<\/p>\n

Leading your team on purpose.<\/p>\n

And all of this leads to my favorite part\u2026<\/p>\n

Getting rich on purpose.\u00a0 Ultimately that\u2019s the point.\u00a0 You can pick the amount, you can write your own definition, success is of course all in the eye of the beholder.\u00a0 Still, most will short change themselves not because they want to, just because they lack confidence, belief, a structured process of certainty that leads to the results you deserve.<\/p>\n

I\u2019d ask you how much of this are you doing on purpose?\u00a0 Guided by your goals, mission, passion, profits \u2013 your purpose.<\/p>\n

The only Dentists I have ever met who didn\u2019t want any of these things, are ones that are so pathetically losing at their practice and the game of dentistry they had no other way to justify it than to say they didn\u2019t want the opposite of what they were getting.<\/p>\n

Now, here\u2019s the thing, there is but one secret \u2013 one \u2013 to everything falling into place, to practicing on your own terms and to getting all you can out of all you\u2019ve got (to quote a famous book title).\u00a0 There is but one secret that has to happen before anything else can or ever will.<\/p>\n

The key to sustainable and predictable success begins with this secret.\u00a0 And I\u2019m going to hand deliver it to you next week, right here, in the Weekly Report.<\/p>\n
