There is a really amazing book out there called \u201cThe One Thing\u201d and it\u2019s is just fabulous in terms of helping people focus.\u00a0 Kevin and Tyrella always love helping Team Members to self-identify their \u2018one thing\u2019 that they will commit to improving, focusing on, getting done, pushing off the cliff, or whatever the context of the action is designed for.<\/p>\n

For as long as I can remember, I always told people if you would just do one thing you would be doing one thing more than most.<\/p>\n

Finish one project a month.\u00a0 Try one thing a week.\u00a0 Do one thing a quarter.\u00a0 Commit to remembering and bringing up one thing with each patient.<\/p>\n

One thing.\u00a0 That\u2019s all.<\/p>\n

And you will be doing more than just about anyone else ever will.\u00a0 I promise.\u00a0 Most people \u2013 they do nothing \u2013 they just go through the motions.\u00a0 See the patients in the schedule and that\u2019s it.\u00a0 Trust me.<\/p>\n

That is also why we get such dramatic results and why you can go years with growth that is stalled or plateaued because you are doing the same thing as you have always done.\u00a0 Instead, if you commit to just one thing a day, a week, a month, a quarter you will be so far ahead of everyone else.<\/p>\n

It does take this type of focus.\u00a0 Anyone can go through a day and do what everyone else does.\u00a0 It\u2019s the people who step up, who reach above, who do more, who want more that make things happen.<\/p>\n

Go ahead, try me\u2026<\/p>\n

One more picture per patient.<\/p>\n

One more reactivation call per day.<\/p>\n

One more tooth per appointment.<\/p>\n

One more ask for referral.<\/p>\n

One more implant diagnosis, ortho series, treatment conference, smile makeover\u2026<\/p>\n

One more.<\/p>\n

Imagine this: what if everyone on your team just did one more of something per hour per day\u2026 what kind of multiplying effect would that have on your overall treatment diagnosis, presentation, case acceptance, schedule treatment and cash collected per day.<\/p>\n

I challenge you to bring this focus to every single morning huddle.\u00a0 Not just patients in the schedule, not just unscheduled treatment already documented, not just the same old thing that we always do \u2013 but one more \u2013 action, decision, commitment, progress step, proactive measure.\u00a0 Watch your team create more success every single day than you could have imagined in a week or a month.<\/p>\n
