Doctor,
I'm not going to sugarcoat this one.
The ADA's newest research confirms what a lot of private practice owners have felt in their gut for years. After adjusting for inflation, the average general dentist's REAL INCOME was $58,878 less in 2025 than in 2010... plummeting from $274K to $215K.
And here is the part that should make you angry: over that same stretch, the average dentist worked more. 35.6 hours a week, up from 34.9.
Here's the mechanism: In the ADA's pooled periods, revenue per dentist grew 1.4% while expenses grew 4.9%. Which means a practice can be producing more than it ever has while the owner takes home less than they used to. The revenue is reaching the practice. It just isn't reaching you with the same economic power.
Spoiler alert: The answer is not going to come from following the crowd. Not the tips, not the tricks, not the trends, not the bandwagons. It is not AI-ing yourself to death. And it is definitely not cramming more patients into a schedule that is already full and hoping volume sorts it out.
Because if a practice cannot convert the opportunity it already has into completed care, feeding it more patients just gives it more opportunity to lose.
So if you are still trying to work out:
…then reserve your seat. I will show you exactly where to look - and I'll show you on the whiteboard, not in theory.
The conventional response to falling income is more: more patients, more marketing, more hours, more production. When expenses are already climbing faster than revenue, more becomes an expensive trap.
There is a more controllable path: increase the value created by the patients, diagnoses, capacity, and clinical hours your practice already has. Over 60 minutes on the whiteboard, Scott will cover…
This isn’t a cookie-cutter call for the masses. This is an hour of real work for real profit. Scott will reveal your hidden gaps that are leaking profit, show you how to leverage math in your practice, and help you uncover your own Profit Comeback Number. Best of all, you’ll walk away with an action plan: specific steps to close those gaps that are draining your practice of its profit potential.
And yes, there's a recording. It goes out afterward to everyone who registers and stays up for 72 hours. But the Scorecard work only pays off live where Scott works from the numbers in real time and you won't be able to ask questions on the replay.
The ADA's research describes the average general dentist. Yours is a specific practice with specific numbers. Start with what the research found, then replace it with your own.
Now move the three sliders to your own practice. Most owners are surprised by how fast the income figure climbs.
During the live training, Scott shows you how to reclaim more of this diagnosed treatment... the six places it leaks out of a practice, why patients who need care still don't move forward, and the Awareness → Belief → Desire → Investment framework that changes the conversation. You will calculate your own Profit Comeback Number on the call.
