I went to this course and I was frustrated by the people who were the exhibitors trying to sell me more stuff. I just kept feeling like people were wanting me to buy the next shiny object that would make my practice succeed. I knew that was not what I needed.

We definitely have been more successful! We’ve more than doubled our practice collections. I take home a lot more. I have invested a lot more money than I ever thought that I would.
It took me probably two or three years of going to meetings to reflect back and understand on what an advantage I have had as a dentist to have started my career with such a great mentor.
I’ve been practicing for about nine years, and I’ve always had DST and Scott. It’s one of those ‘you don’t really know what you don’t have’ situations. Today we reflected on the past couple of years and how we’ve changed.

My mindset has definitely developed over the years in my dental career. Spending money to make money and abundance mindset is not something that comes really easily. You have to continue working at that.
The biggest shift I think that I have noticed through DST specifically is when I started practicing, I was taking on a lot of dental insurances and I thought that was the way I had to do it.
It took coming to these meetings and actually talking with other like-minded dentists to really see that yes, this is our decision to switch from dental insurances or switch the way that we’re thinking.
