The 3 P’s That Unlock Your Lifestyle Practice
Today, I want to hit you hard and fast with what truly matters… the three essential P’s that define your freedom as a dentist.
This isn’t just a motivational talk; it’s a roadmap to reclaiming your life, your practice, and your purpose. It’s not about freedom from dentistry. It’s about freedom because of dentistry.
Let’s dive in.
1. People: Your Path Begins with the Right Team
Freedom starts with people. Your team. If your people aren’t free, you won’t be either.
There are two types of teams:
- Teams that go through the motions.
- Teams that rally behind the mission.
The difference is night and day in terms of your practice’s performance. If your team isn’t aligned with your mission (if they’re not loyal to the vision), you’ll be held hostage. They’ll become commoditized, exchanging hours for dollars. And you’ll be stuck doing the heavy lifting.
You want Lifestyle for All: a team that’s fired up to grow, earn, and make a difference. That requires two critical motivators:
- Mission – Give your team something bigger to believe in.
- Money – Create pathways for them to grow, earn more, and build freedom of their own.
That’s how you shift from being the bottleneck to being the leader of a team that runs on purpose, not pressure.
2. Patients: Educate, Elevate, and Select
Here’s the deal… your job isn’t to treat more patients; it’s to free them.
Set your patients free by showing them what’s possible—educate them on complete health, quality of life, and how dentistry fits into that picture. You’re not just fixing teeth. You’re transforming lives.
They don’t want just another “check-up.” They want a better way of life.
The more you educate, the more you elevate. And when you elevate the patient, you don’t need as many of them. That’s value over volume. That’s how you get to fewer patients, higher case acceptance, better outcomes, and more fulfillment — without burning out in the process.
But here’s the key: you must screen patients, not just attract them.
You can’t be all things to all people. Identify the right patients—those who are ready, able, and willing to invest in their health. Then elevate them through education. It’s not about weeding out—it’s about lifting up.
This is how you move from volume to value. And that’s how you win.
3. Profit: The Non-Negotiable That Sets You Free
Freedom requires profit. Period.
Without profit, nothing else works. It’s the fuel that powers your mission, your team, your growth, and your lifestyle.
Three things must exist:
- A System That Produces Profit Reliably – Your business must run on a predictable, repeatable profit formula.
- Prioritization of YOU – Pay yourself first. Fund your future. Your wealth will grow if it has places to go.
- Purposeful Planning – Profit needs a destination. Investments. Wealth building. Freedom building.
Profit is not a dirty word. It’s the key to impact, the engine of freedom, and the foundation of a lifestyle practice.
True Independence = Abundance of Opportunity + Autonomy of Choice
This is where it all comes together. Freedom isn’t an abstract concept – it’s measurable, tangible, and actionable.
You know what you want. Now reverse engineer it:
- Set a run rate.
- Break it down by weeks, days, columns, providers.
- Let the math work in your favor.
Then go out and create opportunity:
- Be diagnostically focused.
- Ensure every day presents 3x the opportunity to hit your goal.
- Don’t settle for busy – aim for impactful.
Finally, align your sources and streams:
- Existing patients.
- New patients.
- Referral streams.
- Treatment modalities.
Abundance isn’t just about volume—it’s about control over how you earn. That’s the autonomy of choice.
When you control your opportunity and your approach, you own your freedom.
Dentistry’s 1776 Moment
Dentistry is changing. Private practice is rising again. The world is waking up to relationship-driven, complete-health care. And this is your time.
You can accelerate your wealth faster in the next few years than you have in the past two decades. You can build a business that fuels your life instead of consuming it. But only if you choose freedom—now.
I’ve put together something bold. Something overdue. Something only a private practice dentist can appreciate…
This is your invitation to join the revolution.
This is NOT a webinar stuffed with surface-level fluff. It’s a strategic deep dive, an intensive, a blueprint, a wake-up call.
I’m taking everything I’ve written and taught over the last two decades (from The Dental Practice Shift, The Small Practice Revolution, The Four Freedoms of Dentistry, and Private Practice Prosperity) and distilling it into one focused, high-impact experience.
This is your independence declaration.
Your turning point.
Your next-level breakthrough.
Save Your Seat and Declare Your Independence…
Stop solving the wrong problems. Don’t chase more. Instead, chase meaning, chase freedom.
