SPECIAL ELECTION COVERAGE (with Predictions)

I have said this before and I will say it again. Either way, Trump or Clinton, it’s going to have a dramatic impact on our industry over the next, not only four, but probably 10-12 years at least.

Next week, when all of the dust has settled, you will be the first to receive my detailed report on exactly what you must do to prepare yourself and, depending on the outcome, to either survive or to take advantage of the policies of the next administration.

Oh rest assured, if it’s a Trump victory (which we can all only hope and vote, and tell everyone else to vote too), then things will be better but the fallout from Obamacare is going to be tough and it will get worse before it gets better, that I can promise you.

The devastation caused by Obamacare goes far deeper into our communities than just the people who have seen increases in premium and reductions in coverage, or the local businesses forced to cutback and stop growth initiatives.

You see, it not only caused financial hardship on businesses and on the policyholders but it also reshaped the way people view insurance and the expectations they have for it.

Without question, Obamacare has done more damage than we can even begin to realize to the integrity of care and the responsibility patients take from themselves.

More on that next week when we know whether it will be repealed and replaced…or expanded with an eventual destination of a single payer system.

You think corporate dentistry is bad? Wait until the government is actually involved. Let’s hope we don’t have to deal with that. If Trump drains the swamp you just might be entering the greatest time in your life to be a dentist. I hope for both our sakes that I’m writing and you are reading ‘The Trump Advantage’ Report next week that will detail how you can quickly get out ahead of all of the changes and position your practice for profits like never before.

Let’s not mistake what this election really is about…

It’s about corporate dentistry versus independent practices.
It’s about entitlement minded patients versus appreciation minded patients.
It’s about dependency versus responsibility.

In the media you won’t get the truth, you know that. The facts are: this election is about everyday values, about Americans who want to be in control of their own life and about those who want a voice when defining what our country stands for.

It’s about the people who made it, not the people who run it.

Why am I writing about this in a Dental Practice Report?

Because I want you to understand that every election is about the mindsets of the people and your patients are those people.

Your patients are the voters who will elect the next President.

Like him or not what Donald Trump stands for, this movement, is real. You can’t make up 20,000 people at 2 or 3 or 4 rallies a day. You can’t make up that Mike Pence has more people in the audience than Hillary Clinton.

What I’m illustrating here is very simple: your patients (at least a big portion of them and we’ll soon find out just how many), are a part of this movement.

And that is the best news you could have ever received in your lifetime.

Why? Because they represent the patients who want to come to your practice, they value relationship, they want to be in control of their care, they are the people who are going to create the resurgence of independent, boutique, concierge style dentistry like never before.

Corporate anything are the antagonists to these people. Big insurance companies are the villains to these people.

There is a revolution to bring back independence to the working class, to the patients that make your practice possible. This is something I would hope you not only appreciate but actually embrace.

There is specific language that these kind of patients respond to… “putting you in control of your health”, “providing customized care for each of our patients”, “helping you to ensure you will have a healthy mouth for the years to come”.

Understand the psyche of these people. They are the ones that are going to write checks and take responsibility for their care.

This is evident even outside of this election. Do you know what is the fastest growing trend in urban America that opposes all preconceived notions of it’s industry?

Gourmet, boutique, locally-owned, slow-drip, one-cup-at-a-time, pour-over artisan coffee. These ‘hipster’ coffee joints thrive in the face of corporate drive-thurs. No, Starbucks isn’t going anywhere, they are unique in and of themselves.

But this trend is not something unique to dentistry. People are making a play to return back to the feeling of ‘mom and pop,’ of relationship-based service and most importantly value driven decisions – not price conscious shopping.

You get to decide how you want your patients to perceive you. While your vote won’t entirely decide the election, it will count. But your patients vote for you every single day and you get to be the president of your practice. The only question is: what kind of practice do you want to be the president of?

You will soon see it more and more. Patients are returning to independent dentists and they will be moving away from corporate entities and discount offers.

This election holds a lot in the balance. About how insurance is perceived and used as part of their dental care.

Regardless of the outcome, this election has already shown what a large segment of Americans want.

I promised a prediction, so I’m going to give it. For your sake and mine, I believe Americans will choose to stand up for our country and their right to be in control of their own daily life; from how much they earn to how much they keep; to not being dictated to about their healthcare (including their right to choose their dentist by reputation, relationship, referral and not off a shrinking ppo list).

Next week, not only can we say that “Make America Great Again” is now more than just a slogan, it is in progress. We can also say “Make Dentistry Great Again” because we are going to re-establish the foundation of our industry where Independent Dentists thrive by practicing on their own terms with patients who choose to be there because the choice is theirs and theirs alone.

We surely will know a lot one week from today and stay tuned because win or lose, right or wrong, I’ll be sending you the most actionable comprehensive and first report on what you need to do now before 2017 in order to make the most of the election results and prepare for the impact on our industry by the next president.
