This past Sunday, while talking with one of my Star Dentist Clients and good friends in the amazing city of Toronto, she said to me and I quote “I really appreciate your process and going through this because it makes me relate to and feel what my patients feel when they go through the experience with me and my team.”
That is one of the best compliments I have ever received. And, humbly speaking, I get a lot of complements.
I always say it is worth just being involved with me to observe the experience and learn from WHAT I DO – isn’t that they type of people you want to be around, people who practice what they preach.
The fastest way to turn me off and get yourself fired from my world is to be incongruent with what you say you want. I hate people who talk and do not act.
A waste of space, oxygen better saved for others. People who really value life – they are doers, in fact, they don’t talk much, because they are busy doing.
If you want to get the trust of your patients quickly – BE THE EXAMPLE.
I have a question for you: have you ever thought about the LEAP OF FAITH you ask your patients to go through every day, every visit to trust you in what you are doing and asking them to do.
Think about it, to you it is second nature, it is what you do, it’s Dentistry, but to the patient, they simply have to believe.
Your ability to get your patients to buy into, believe and trust you is the difference between being mediocre and exceptional. It is the difference between being a Millionaire Dentist and having a Million Dollar Practice. You understand they are two different things – WORLD APART.
