The Most Critical Component: Practice Success Made Simple – Part 4

Today, I have a great and important surprise for you, one of grand significance that I will get to in just a moment.  But first, the set-up.

Over the past few weeks we have talked about the necessity of beginning with the end in mind in order to then reverse engineer your success and how this applies to every single part of your practice (and life).

Most Doctors just start randomly changing things without a real rhyme or reason.  They fall victim to the idea and illusion that some “thing” will fix what’s broken instead of looking deeper at their practice as a business and understanding that the principles for success are not that difficult.

It is possible to achieve results by embracing and following my 3 Steps to what I call “Practice Success Made Simple” because it is about growing from the inside out and working on the core foundation of the practice.  In order to BUILD A BETTER PRACTICE, you have to build a better doctor, build a better team and build a better patient.  Only then can you build a better business.

Actually, that brings me to my surprise.  I have done it again.  Today is the release of my brand new book.

Yep, it wasn’t enough for me to become the most prolific and influential (business) writer in all of Dentistry.  And I say it wasn’t enough because that’s not why I do it; not at in the least actually.

The real reasons I write books for you to read are two fold.  First, I know that Doctors that read books are Doctors that are serious about their success and take responsibility for their practices.  They know owning and running a practice that works for them versus them working for it is all about never ending progress and the best way to implement improvements is by leveraging others’ knowledge through books.

The other reason is because I know that even the best need constant encouragement and reminders over what is possible and what they are capable of.  Every success minded Doctor needs to refocus on the basics and the principles of success that work.

Now, you are in for a treat because this next book you are about to receive was written 100% literally and specifically for You!

It is my most powerful and poignant yet specific.  All of the principles for my “Dental Success Today” formula for creating profitable growth in any dental practice while practicing and living on their own terms.  Yes, it all can be done.

Back to today’s Report and the 3rd Success Principle is about taking Proactive Action.

Not just ACTION but PROACTIVE ACTION.  And that is the difference maker between the ones who win early and often, and everyone else.

I’ve told you the joke many times about there being three kinds of people in the world: those who watch things happen, those who make things happen and those who just stand around wondering what happened.

Well, in your practice, it is the same.  Maybe even worse.  You can say one thing but do another and pretty soon your practice is filled with self-sabotage.  Worse yet, you can let the patients rule the roost or you can be at the mercy of insurance or even to your own team.

Now your team should drive your practice success no question but you better make sure they are driving it in the direction you want it to go.  This all comes back to not being proactive.

Here is a quick example and we’ll dive deeper in others next week.

Often Doctors come to me because they want to get out of or at the very least shift the insurance dynamic in their practice.  They actually want to be less “busy” but be doing “more” dentistry.  While we could just start firing patients or unplugging from insurance plans or something similar; this would all be reactive not proactive.

Instead, we first establish more disciplined and organized approach with a deliberate strategy for the Schedule so that days are more valuable.  At the same time we go on the offense with patient education and screening.  Then we layer on top of that quality A Patient attraction initiatives that orchestrate and result in more cash and fee for service patients seeking out comprehensive care.  Then we expand the diagnostic approach of all patient experiences and shift the way we talk about, present, and even deal with insurance which give patients the opportunity to get healthier faster by seeing the big picture.

Now we have proactively offset any impact that the reduction or elimination of insurance will have on your practice.  At the same time, we built a more profitable practice by optimizing every component and leverage point.

That is PROACTIVE ACTION.

And it is only possible, at least with purpose and being responsible, once you have the end in mind and your own definition of success.  Then you reverse engineer your way of getting there (like I outlined for you last week).  Finally, you are poised and ready to take control, to start acting with confidence, and to create what you want instead of just end up with what you get.

Proactive Action is the key to making the results you want happen versus accepting the results that happen to you.  And that is a BIG difference and what enables you to work less while making more.

It is also, by no coincidence, exactly what my new book is about too.

So, we’ll stop there, you’ve got no homework today other than this right here…

You can receive your copy of my new book where I reveal for the first time the strategies millionaire doctors across North America have used to transform their practices and dramatically increase practice profits…

And we’ll pick up next week with a breakdown of how, with one simple shift in each persons role (including yours) in your practice from reactive to proactive action, you will drive daily results.
