Remember this: no one will ever care more about achieving your goals than you – as it should be.  After all, they are your goals.  If someone else cares more than the person who owns the goals, then it has little chance of succeeding.

This is exactly like your patients.  If you care more than they do, it’s not going to go very far.  It’s your responsibility to get them to care more by getting and keeping them engaged, by asking them to dream, by challenging their desires and expectations, by educating them about the benefits and the consequences.

What could you do more to motivate your patients to care about their mouths, health, smiles, etc?

Now, the way we win in dentistry is by helping patients win; the way we win in business is by helping our team win.  We are a team but a team is made up of individuals.  There is the saying there is no “I” in “team” but in reality we are all human, every team member just like every patient has different goals, perspective, motivations, etc.

Therefore, understanding each person and adding complementary team members is critical.  Having a growing thriving practice is not optional; you won’t keep great people around a boring, never changing, stale type of practice.  Champions want to be challenged and they want to find new ways to win.

That’s why it’s the perfect time for you to step it up, double down, commit again to making your practice better than ever before.  Hey, the people you depend on depend on you wanting that and to never losing your drive.

If you haven’t already, get your copy of my new book.  Your team will thank you for it.  I promise you this: when you have the Dental Success Secret – the best years, biggest cases, most profitable months are ahead of you not behind you and with that comes a whole lot of fun!

This week, as you look to give thanks for all of your friends, family and patients, don’t forget to give thanks to yourself and especially each other because you make the magic happen every single day with every individual patient.  We’re sure thankful for you and all you do.

Take some time this week and celebrate each other… hopefully you do that more often than once a year, but give it a little extra attention today.  While you are at it, share what motivates you to get out of bed every day and do something.  There is no greater way to express gratitude than to make the most of every day, relationship and opportunity.

Happy Thanksgiving
